Please read this policy carefully and ensure that you understand and agree with it before providing us with your personal data. If you do not agree with it, please do not use this website, its services, or provide us with your data. By accessing this site, using any of its services, or providing us with your data—whether online or offline—we will consider it a clear affirmative action by which you give us your consent (where required) to process your data for the purposes outlined below.

How did we obtain your data?
Data provided directly by you
If you are a current or potential customer, or simply a user of our website, you have provided your data to us either offline or online when requesting our services to maintain a contractual relationship with you or when contacting us for information. For example, if you have visited our offices or facilities, you may have provided your data as a visitor. Additionally, your data may have been communicated to us through our commercial network after being submitted to one of our sales representatives.
The categories of data we process include:
- Identification data
- Postal or email addresses
- Commercial information
- Economic data
We do not process specially protected data.
The information we collect includes:
- Your contact details, including your full name, address (billing or shipping), date of birth, email address, and optionally, your phone number. We need your email address and (optionally) your phone number to contact you in case of questions or information regarding your order.
- Other necessary details for order processing, such as product information, billing and delivery address, and your bank or credit card details.
- If you have created an online profile, any preferences and interests stored in your profile.
- If you have contacted customer service, the details and history of that communication.
- If you participate in an event, activity, promotion, or contest organized by us and submit videos, photos, or other text or audiovisual content (such as articles, drawings, etc.) protected by intellectual or industrial property rights, your submission grants URBANBIKER the authorization to use this content on our website, social media profiles, and YouTube channel. This allows us to document and share information about the event or activity and store it as part of our photographic or video archive. The content may also be used in advertising brochures, posters, promotional materials, etc.
By submitting such content, you grant URBANBIKER a non-exclusive, free-of-charge, worldwide, sublicensable right to reproduce, distribute, translate, publish, and disclose the content indefinitely. The author retains ownership of the copyright but, by sending or posting content on our website or social media, you grant us rights to reproduce and publicly communicate such content. The author may still use their content in ways that do not interfere with its publication through our platforms.
The sender guarantees that they own the content or have all the necessary rights, permissions, and authorizations to license it, ensuring it does not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual or industrial property rights. The sender is responsible for obtaining all necessary authorizations and covering any applicable rights-related payments.
The sender is solely responsible for any third-party claims—including those from public authorities—related to the content and ownership of such materials. Any damages or liabilities resulting from such claims will be borne by the sender, who expressly authorizes URBANBIKER to take any legal action necessary to protect its rights.
When you provide us with your personal data
By providing us with your personal data, you guarantee that you are authorized to share this information and that it is true, accurate, complete, and up-to-date. You also confirm that the data is not confidential, does not violate any contractual restrictions or third-party rights, and agree not to impersonate other users.
Automatically collected data when visiting our website
If you provide your data through this website, we collect information, for example, when you access the page, register as a user, fill out any form with personal data, or communicate with us directly via email.
When you visit our website, data is sent from your browser to our server to optimize our services and enhance your user experience. This happens, for instance, when you access the page or log into our services using third-party services such as social networks or Google. These data may be collected and stored automatically by us or third parties acting on our behalf. The collected data may include:
- The user’s IP address
- The date and time of the visit
- The URL of the site from which the user arrived
- The pages visited on our website
- Information about the browser used (browser type and version, operating system, etc.)
We may process and log this usage data, session information, and related details, either independently or with the help of third-party services, including through the use of cookies and other tracking technologies such as flash cookies and web analytics.
Location-based services
Some of our mobile applications offer location-based services using platforms such as Google Maps and Bing Maps. If you use these applications, they may receive real-time information about your location (such as GPS signals from a mobile device) or other data used to approximate your location. You can usually enable or disable location services in your device or browser settings.
We use Google Maps and Bing Maps to help you find the nearest distributor. To facilitate this process, we load an image from Google Maps or Bing Maps and store route data and the map image on our server.
For more information on Google Maps and Bing Maps, including their Privacy Policies, please refer to their respective policies.
Retargeting technology
Our website and mobile applications use retargeting technology on the internet. We believe that displaying personalized ads based on user interests is more engaging for our customers than generic advertisements. This technology allows us to show ads about our products to users who have previously visited our store, even when they browse other third-party websites.
To achieve this, we work with companies that use tracking technologies to display advertisements on our behalf across the internet. These companies may collect information about your visits to our website or mobile applications, including your interactions with our communications and advertisements.
Retargeting technologies analyze your cookies and display ads based on your browsing behavior. However, we do not store your personal data using this technology, and it complies with applicable Data Protection regulations.
Social Media Connectors
Our website includes social media connectors. When you choose to interact with us through a social network, we are not responsible for the privacy settings chosen by the user. The social network may collect and share information such as your IP address or the specific page you are visiting on our website. It may also set a cookie to function properly. Additionally, your name may appear in “likes” you give or in comments you post on our social media pages.
If you do not want your personal data to be associated with these likes or comments, adjust your privacy settings accordingly—for example, by using a nickname or alias that does not reveal your full name.
If you are logged into a social media account while visiting our website, the social network may add that information to your profile and transfer data to its servers. To prevent this data transfer, log out of your social media accounts before accessing our website or mobile applications. Unfortunately, we cannot control how social networks collect and transfer data through social media connectors.
User Responsibility for Shared Content
If a user publishes or shares texts, photos, videos, or other types of content through our official social media pages, they are solely responsible for ensuring that such content complies with the relevant legal regulations.
We remind you that when sharing personal data of other individuals, you must respect their privacy and handle their data responsibly. Only the data owner can authorize the processing of their personal data. Users may only publish personal data, photographs, or other content on our website or social media pages if:
- They own the rights to that content, or
- They have explicit authorization from the data owner.
If you provide or publish third-party data, it is your responsibility to obtain their prior and express consent and inform them about how their data will be processed or published. Sharing third-party data without consent may violate data protection laws as well as the right to honor, privacy, or image protection.
Right to Remove Content
In any case, we reserve the right to remove from our website or social media pages any user-published content if we detect that it violates current laws or this Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Control Over Social Media Interactions
Social networks are not hosted on our services. Your interactions with them are governed by their own policies, not ours. Please read the privacy policies of those social networks to understand how they collect and transfer your data, your rights, and how you can manage your privacy settings.
Third-Party Communication of Personal Data
If a third party provides us with your personal data (instead of you doing it yourself), it may have been shared with us through our commercial network or distributors after you provided your data to one of our sales representatives.
In such cases, the categories of data we process may include:
- Identification data
- Financial, economic, and insurance information
- Transaction records for goods and services
If you apply for financing to purchase our products, the financing entity may inform us whether your financing request was approved or denied.
Third-Party Data
When handling other people’s personal data, you must respect their privacy and be particularly careful when publishing or sharing any personal information. As a user, you are only allowed to provide and consent to the processing of your own personal data—not that of third parties.
If you provide us with third-party data, you are effectively transferring personal data, and it is your responsibility to obtain their prior and explicit consent for its use and disclosure. Additionally, you are responsible for informing them that their data has been included in our records.
Publishing third-party data without their consent may violate not only data protection laws but also the right to honor, privacy, or personal image as protected under Organic Law 1/1982, of May 5, regarding civil protection of honor, personal and family privacy, and personal image rights.
Minors’ Data
The submission of personal data on this website is not permitted for children under 14 years old. If you are under this age, you must obtain permission from your parents or legal guardians before providing us with your data.
Children under 14 years of age can only register on this website with the explicit authorization and consent of their parents, guardians, or legal representatives. These legal representatives are fully responsible for any actions carried out by minors under their supervision on this website, including:
- Filling out forms with personal data,
- Selecting consent checkboxes, and
- Any other interactions on the website.
We advise parents, guardians, or legal representatives to implement necessary measures to prevent minors under their care from accessing this website or submitting personal data without supervision. URBANBIKER does not accept any responsibility for unauthorized access or data submissions by minors.
If we detect that a minor under 14 years old has registered without proper authorization, we may request documentation from their parents or guardians to verify the authorization. If such verification is not provided, we will delete the account or registration as soon as possible.
If parents, guardians, or legal representatives become aware of unauthorized data processing involving a minor, they can submit inquiries or complaints by contacting us at: contact@urbanbiker.com.
Purpose | Why Do We Process Your Data?
We may process your data for different purposes, such as:
a) If you are a current or potential customer, to maintain contact and communication with you, manage the contractual and/or commercial relationship, including after-sales and warranty services, and handle any requests you make online. Additionally, if you participate in activities or events organized or promoted by URBANBIKER, please note that photographs and/or videos may be taken during these events and activities, which could be published on this website, on our profiles on any social networks, or on YouTube, to inform about the event/activity, document it, and become part of the photographic/video memory of the event.
b) If you are just a user of our website or the sender or recipient of an email, to maintain contact and communication with you and manage the requests you make online.
c) To offer, develop, personalize, and improve our products and services according to your interests and enhance your user experience, we will create a “commercial profile” based on the information you have provided. Automated decisions may be made based on this profile, applying criteria such as your geolocation to show you prices for your country or direct you to the nearest store, your purchases in our online and/or physical URBANBIKER stores, your use of loyalty programs, your ratings and reviews of products, your customer service interactions, your email newsletter open and click rates, your browsing behavior (web tracking), the types of newsletters you are subscribed to, your participation in promotions or events, your interactions with “My Coach,” and your use of our mobile apps.
To assess your creditworthiness, you authorize URBANBIKER to seek additional financial, economic, or asset data from third parties such as financial institutions, credit bureaus, and other companies to complete the information about your creditworthiness.
d) If you provide us with your curriculum vitae or send us your resume, to contact you and manage the recruitment processes we carry out.
e) If you visit our facilities, to manage access and control of visitors.
f) To conduct satisfaction surveys and send you, via electronic communications, information about our activities, products, and/or services similar to those requested (including advertising and/or commercial communications as per Article 21 of Law 34/2002 on the Information Society and Electronic Commerce Services). If we have an existing contractual relationship, we will send these communications based on our legitimate interest. If we don’t have such a relationship, we will only send these types of communications if you explicitly consent by ticking the box included for that purpose in the relevant forms. All electronic communications will include an option to unsubscribe, and if you choose to unsubscribe, we will stop sending such communications.
Retention Period | How Long Will We Keep Your Data?
We will retain the personal data you provide to us until you request its deletion. Even if you request deletion, we may retain it for the time necessary to comply with legal or contractual obligations and/or for the statutory time periods set for the prescription of any liabilities on our part and/or for the exercise or defense of claims arising from our relationship with the data subject.
Legitimacy | What is the Legal Basis for Processing Your Data?
The legal basis that justifies the processing of your data may vary:
The contractual relationship that we have with you if you are a current customer/supplier, or pre-contractual relationship if you are a potential customer/supplier (e.g., if you’ve requested information, a quote, or an estimate). Providing the requested data is mandatory as it is essential to formalize and/or maintain the contractual or pre-contractual relationship and to fulfill the legal obligations arising from it. If you don’t provide this data, we won’t be able to provide the service derived from this relationship.
Your consent if you make a request through our website, if you send us your resume, or if you are a visitor to our facilities or involved in image collection activities. You give us your consent unequivocally by providing your data online or offline, which will be considered a clear affirmative act expressing that consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time by sending an email to contact@urbanbiker.es, but such withdrawal may mean that we cannot respond to your request, consider your curriculum, or grant you access to our facilities.
Compliance with legal obligations, such as consumer protection regulations, anti-money laundering laws, fiscal obligations, or the Spanish Penal Code, for the establishment of a whistleblowing channel in accordance with Article 31 bis of the Penal Code.
Our legitimate interest as an organization to:
- Conduct opinion and/or satisfaction surveys
- Inform you about our activities, products, and/or services (including through electronic communications). If we already have a contractual relationship, these communications will be sent based on our legitimate interest. If we don’t have a relationship, we will only send this type of communication if you consent by marking the relevant option in the forms. In all cases, these communications will include an option to unsubscribe, and if you choose to do so, we will stop sending you this type of communication going forward.
Recipients | To Whom May We Share Your Data?
We inform you that the data you provide may be communicated to third parties for the fulfillment of purposes directly related to legitimate functions of both the transferor and the assignee, such as:
To transport companies responsible for the logistics of shipping and delivery of our goods.
To other companies in the URBANBIKER corporate group for internal administrative purposes, including the processing of customers’ personal data.
To stores or distributors for the assembly and delivery of the purchased bicycle.
To entities or organizations to which there is a legal obligation to communicate data (e.g., tax authorities).
To different entities that may be necessary at any given time to provide payment services and manage the collections and payments made through this website, as well as the obligations derived from the payment systems that facilitate these services, all in compliance with the functions that these entities perform for the provision of such services.
To insurance companies in cases of credit and surety insurance to secure payment for operations or to insure civil liability or defective products in the event of possible claims by the end-user.
To our subsidiaries in other countries, or to the agents or distributors in our commercial network, we will communicate any inquiries made to our website that need to be attended to by them. If this involves an international data transfer to a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the data subject gives express consent to such transfer by providing their data.
International Transfers
We may use service providers located outside the European Union who may have access to personal data in order to provide auxiliary services to our activity (e.g., hosting, SaaS, remote backups, IT support or maintenance services, email managers, email marketing, file transfers, etc.).
These companies may vary over time, but we will always choose companies that provide an adequate level of protection, meaning they are committed to complying with standards equivalent to European data protection requirements.
By accepting this privacy policy, you expressly and unequivocally authorize the communication of your data to these companies, knowing that this constitutes an international data transfer to a country outside the EEA, and you give your unequivocal consent to such transfer.
What Are Your Rights When You Provide Us With Your Data?
You can exercise your rights, when applicable, to access, rectify, delete, limit, and object to the processing of your data, as well as not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated data processing.
You can exercise these rights at the postal or electronic addresses provided at the beginning of this privacy policy. In both cases, this must be done via a written and signed request, including a copy of your ID card, passport, or other valid identification document. If you change your data, you must notify us at the same address, as we decline all responsibility in case you do not do so.
Right of Access:
You can ask us which personal data we are processing, even requesting a copy of it.
Right of Rectification:
You can request that we rectify any inaccurate personal data or complete any incomplete data, including through an additional statement.

Right of Opposition:
You can object to the processing of your data if such processing is based on the legitimate interest of the data controller or is for advertising purposes.
Once we receive any of the above requests, we will respond within the legally established deadlines. You can file a claim with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos). For more information about the rights you can exercise and to request form templates, you can visit the website of the Spanish Data Protection Agency at www.aepd.es.
