TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE WARRANTY

All products manufactured by UrbanBiker S.L. are guaranteed in accordance with the European Directive 1999/44/EC on the sale and warranties of consumer goods.

The terms of this warranty are supplemented for products purchased and invoiced in Spain with Royal Decree-Law 7/2021.

All products under the UrbanBiker and UBK Systems brands are guaranteed for 2 years for products purchased within the European Union, except for consumables, and as long as the usage conditions described in the user manual are followed and the corresponding maintenance is carried out.

The warranty for products purchased and invoiced in Spain and Portugal from January 1, 2022, is 3 years, except for consumables, and as long as the usage conditions described in the user manual are followed and the corresponding maintenance is carried out.

Bikes intended for professional use (rental, delivery, etc.) will have a 6-month warranty.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

UrbanBiker guarantees its electric bicycles and other related products under the UrbanBiker and UBK Systems brands against any manufacturing or assembly defects, covering:

• The repair or replacement of defective parts with new ones.
• The labor required for the installation or repair of parts and components, whether done by us or a third party (UrbanBiker is not obliged to find a workshop near your location).
• The cost of shipping (if applicable) parts to users or official points of sale where the purchase was made.

Defects resulting from the initial assembly or adjustment of the bicycle, such as the adjustment of the gears, the adjustment of the brakes and brake pads, the placement of the wiring, the tension of the spokes, and automatic closures on handlebars, saddles, wheels, and folding models, must be claimed within the first 30 days of receiving the item. After this period, it will be understood that the user is responsible for the condition of the item or its adjustment.

Shipping costs when the issue is outside the warranty will be borne by the customer or the official point of sale.

The loss of battery autonomy due to aging is not considered a manufacturing defect, as this is an inherent behavior of the lithium components. Therefore, the warranty will only apply if the loss of autonomy is below 50%, or if less than 500 full charging cycles have been performed.

The electrical components of the bike are built according to the IP65 standard, which provides protection against dust and water under normal conditions. Damage caused by pressure washing, excessive humidity in the storage location, submerging the bike or its components in water, or failure to dry after riding in heavy rain will not be covered by the warranty.

The warranty does not, under any circumstances, imply the provision of a replacement vehicle during the time needed to resolve an issue covered by the warranty.

The warranty does not cover, under any circumstances, personal or material damages that may arise directly or indirectly from defects during use.

The warranty does not cover, under any circumstances, the normal wear and tear of consumables. Such parts subject to wear include:

• Tires and inner tubes.
• Chains, disc brake rotors, and brake pads.
• Saddle, grips, and tapes.
• Hubs, o-rings, and shock absorber joints.
• Lamps, cables, and covers.
• Seals, freewheels, and bottom brackets.
• Pedals, threads, and pedal arms.
• Bearings.

APPLICATION OF THE WARRANTY

Warranty claims must be processed exclusively through the sales channel associated with the product. That is, when purchasing a product at an Official Point of Sale (whether physical or online), the warranty must be processed exclusively through that Point of Sale, and not another, with UrbanBiker being one more official point of sale.

To make a warranty claim, the customer must always provide the purchase invoice.

In any case, the effective application of the warranty will be subject to the evaluation of UrbanBiker’s Technical Service, which may exclude it for the reasons outlined in the following point.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The warranty does not apply if the failure of the defective part(s) is due to improper and/or negligent use of the product.

Improper and/or negligent use is understood as:

• Any use other than that appropriate for the nature of the product and/or recommended in the user manual.
• Failure to perform the maintenance operations indicated in the user manual or performing operations other than those mentioned, which could compromise the functioning of the product.
• Performing repairs outside of authorized workshops and/or with non-original parts or parts not approved by UrbanBiker.

The warranty does not apply in case of damage, malfunction, or performance issues caused by industrial contaminants in the air or external agents that are the cause of the damage.
